The University of Padua has been dealing with renewable energy and solar power issues sine many years.

In this context we promoted this initiative for the creation of a Center of competence of R & D and technology transfer in Photovoltaics.   The Center of Competence aims to be capable of supporting companies working in the Photovoltaic, acting as an attractor and a multiplier of initiatives aimed at R & D of new technologies, materials, devices, methods of manufacture and installation with the prospective of creating a Veneto Photovoltaic Center of excellence.

Over thirty researchers have been involved in its implementation, from five different departments: Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Physics.
